Update

Well, it is Tuesday again and I have had a wonderful week. My mom gave me a Mohawk and I looked fantastic! I have been asked to discuss with everyone the goings on of my mom and dad. I guess I will start with my mom. She is pretty. PRETTY FUNNY! We like to laugh a lot. She does normal mom things. We go for walks, we run in the park and she sings me lots of songs. She keeps the house clean and safe for me and also makes sure I have enough to eat and drink. Mostly, we play whatever I want but every so often I let her put my toys in baskets and she even gets a turn with my blocks. She is getting excited about her bicycle. I have a feeling we are getting ready to explore this city on wheels. I trust her. My dad is the greatest! He is just as funny as my mom. We play every morning and then I help him get ready for work. I am not exactly sure what he does at work or why he goes or if everyone is as good at work as my dad. I do know he likes work because I overheard my dad tell my mom how fun his days are and how much he is learning. And I may be little but even I know how happy my dad is when he is learning. I think he is the best person at work. Sometimes my mom takes me to have lunch with my dad and everyone loves us. We are a hit! So enough about my parents, this week was great. My friend Karen Teter came to visit. We had lunch and shopped and then we had lunch again. We had lots of fun running around NYC! As some of you may be aware of, Halloween is Friday. I know some of you may be wondering about my costume and you will have to wait for the big reveal but I will give you a hint. What is black and white and black and white and black and white? Oh, but I will not be falling down any stairs in my costume...hopefully. Before I tuck myself into bed, I wanted to say Happy Birthday to my cousin Joseph. He turned 11 years old today. We had a party for him on Sunday and I hope he had a fabulous day because I sure did. Three cheers for Joe. Hip Hip Hooray. Hip Hip Hooray. (everyone join in on this one) Hip Hip Hooray! Until next week... - Maggie This week I: watched UT beat Oklahoma State, I bought a new pair of shoes, I prayed before meals and I watched my first episode of Seseame Steet.

BOOKS...

I know it is late and I hope I am not disturbing anyone. To tell you the truth, I should be in bed but alas, I am not. I have discovered books. Do you love books? I do. May I recommend, Your Personal Penguin, by Sandra Boynton. You can listen, www.workman.com/boyton. It is divine. I read it to my dad before bed sometimes. I like all books really. I have lots of fabulous books if you would like to borrow one. Also, this week, my Gramma came to visit! And speaking of books she brought me TWO! One of them was even INTERACTIVE!!!! Awesome. There was lots to do while she was in Brooklyn. We walked, we sang, we played, we ate, we loved. We had a wonderful time. She had to leave but I was promised she would return. I cannot wait. Another fun event this week was my gymnastics class. I love the balance beam and somersaults. We also have bubbles at gymnastics. I have never met anyone who does not just love bubbles. You MAY hate bubbles if you have a cold cold heart but I do not. Unfortunately, it is even WAY past my bedtime on the west coast. I hope I do not over sleep tomorrow morning. I know how much my parents love to get up really early and start the day by playing and dancing. I would hate to disappoint them by sleeping in. Well, until next week... -Maggie This week, I... went to gymnastics, put a bowl on my head, I played with bubbles and I ate my first bean and cheese burrito. It was a good week.

TEXAS.......FIGHT!

Happy Tuesday everyone! My week was fantastic. The best part of my week was Saturday. My dad is on the University of Texas Longhorn football team and I am a cheerleader. At least, that is my best guess to explain the events of Saturday. As it was explained to me, the Oklahoma University Sooners are our worst enemy. It was critical we won the game. We all had our jobs. My mom's job was to make our lunch and keep us hydrated. It was my job to keep my dad's spirits up and it was his job to win the game. We clapped, we cheered, we yelled, we danced and then we had lunch. Unfortunately, I fell asleep during the fourth quarter but when I woke up, WE WON!!! We celebrated with more dancing and we sang the Texas fight song. I had a blast and I hope we win every game. I have the taste of victory in my mouth...and I like it. I also wanted to give you an update on my shoe situation. It appears that shoes come in different shapes and colors. I have decided to give them a shot. I found this pair that I like a lot. I think they fit. They are red. As for the city, the weather is perfect. I just love the wind in my face and the leaves falling on my head. I love yelling at the people on the streets and the sound of the subway cars racing past me. So far, this city is wonderful. Well, I hate to admit it, but I have grown tired. I have spotted my blankey but I need to retrieve my pacifier. Until next week... -Maggie
I helped my dad sweep.
I helped my mom do laundry.

Big News...

So the big news today is that I took my first step. I just said, "What the heck, I'll give it shot." It worked out. I was pretty excited with myself but my mom was noticeably more excited. I regret that I achieved this remarkable milestone 1 hour after my Aunt Megan left. She would have been proud of me. I love her. So I am now trying to decide what to do with this new found skill. It seems to be powerful. This week was eventful. Of course, my Aunt Megan came to visit and I enjoyed that. I also was able to venture down to Wall Street and see some of the chaos that my predecessors have created. I also played the guitar and with blocks (Thanks Karen and Jack!). The most unfortunate incident this week was, in my opinion, avoidable. I was made to wear shoes. I have been allowed to be barefoot all these months and the addition of shoes was mean and uncalled for. I have since been wearing shoes and I must admit, I was a little overly dramatic, but I am still not sure why they are so important.

I must go eat lunch. I assume I will be treated to whole wheat bread, sharp cheddar cheese, dijon mustard, cajun turkey and perhaps an avacado. Well, I am off to pick out a bib. - Maggie

I solved the Wall St. crisis.

I learned a new song.

I officially endorsed Obama.

I played with BLOCKS!
