Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! What a wonderful day. We went to the 248th annual St. Patrick's Day parade here in New York City today. We heard the marching bands and bagpipes and everyone was wearing green. Did you know that I am Irish? I am. My mom told me. And she taught me some Irish dancing and we also played the guitar and sang Irish songs. I have lots of favorite song but my very favorite is "I'll Tell Me Ma". It was also my mom's favorite song when she was young. I love being Irish. And I love being in New York because everyone is Irish! At least they were all pretending to be Irish today. That is the interesting thing about a good thing. Everyone tries to hone in on your "parade"! Well, I cannot wait until next year. Apparently this year I wore myself out and I fell asleep before the day was over. Next year, I promise to be the most lively and festive girl at the parade. I hope you can all come and join me. Well, I have so many more Irish things to do today. Slainte! (that means good health to you all in Irish, for all my non-Irish friends) Until next week... -Maggie
This week: I went to the parade and would NOT eat a hot dog, I fell asleep asleep before the parade was over, I tried on alternate St. Patrick's Day outfits, I pushed my stroller to the playground, I colored on a box, I got a new dress and I read with my friend Todd

Daylight What?

Welcome to Tuesday everyone! I have had a wonderful week as usual. However, the Daylight Savings experience has thrown me for a loop. I fell asleep prematurely and I also woke up late from naps. Basically, my body was confused. I regretfully blame this on my mother. If my routine was not quite so rigid there may have been hope for an easy transition. I feel assured that with the addition to our family, routines will be more flexible. I hope everyone else managed to get up for work on Monday morning. I know I was exhausted but I successfully organized my blocks and read a few books. Prior to the time change, my parents took me to Hoboken for a St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was not St. Patrick's Day but there were lots of people who may have believed it was. They were not smart people and in fact lots of them fell over, stumbled and even yelled incoherent phrases. I didn't pay much attention to them. I played in the playground and took a walk with my parents. It was so pretty this weekend. It was in the 60s and I didn't need a hat or a coat. I felt free as a bird. Other than a few adventures, I spent my week playing with my mom and enjoying the weather. I must admit, I have grown sleepy. I need to retrieve my monkey, cat, blanket and pacifier before I can proceed to my crib. Until next week... -Maggie
This week: I sat on a duck in the playground, I finally liked the swings!, I went to Hoboken and looked out at Manhattan, I rode the subway and I fell asleep while eating french fries.

To All the Big Sisters...Holla!

Good Evening! I have been dying to discuss this week's news. I have been called: Margaret, Maggie, Miss Rundell, Maggers, Mags, daughter, niece, cousin and granddaughter but I have never been called SISTER! Until now that is. It is true. I am going to be a sister. A big one. Apparently, there is a small person in my mom's belly. I know, I know, but trust me. My mom does not lie. I like to think of the baby like I think of God. I don't see it but I believe it. From what I understand, my sibling is floating around in there and having a party. It can't come out until we get it a bed. We haven't decided if I should have a brother or sister yet but I am pretty sure I can strong arm either one. If the baby does what I say, we will get along just fine. Of course, I have seen other babies and they don't understand everything is mine. I know my brother or sister will understand. We are going to build forts and make sculptures and play dress up. I have already planned our first few days. I am currently working on a comprehensive schedule. However, I must digress. I have some sad news this week. I was taken to the ER Sunday night after spending a glorious day in New Jersey playing with my cousins. I was getting out of the tub and I escaped! I started running. I was still wet and I slipped. I fell backwards and I started to cry but then I stopped. After that, my parents say my eyes rolled back and I went limp for a few seconds. We had to go to the hospital right away. I had fun there. I ran all over the waiting room and I even let other people play with my stuffed monkey. Eventually, they let me fall asleep and I am as good as new. I do apologize to my parents for scaring them. I was just having too much fun. Well, I must go practice my gymnastics moves for tomorrow. Until next week... -Maggie
This week: I made my first attempt at eating yogurt with a spoon, I wore a hat, I wore sunglasses, I got my ashes on Ash Wednesday and I played with my cousin Keira.
