I GOT WHEELS!

Tuesday again? The weeks are flying by. The best thing in the world happened this week. I got a bike!!! It is just for me and now I can go anywhere I want. I think getting a bike was a smart decision. After all, we are very busy getting ready for my baby brother's arrival and I need to be able to help out. I have even been given a few more responsibilities. I now am expected to walk up stairs all by myself, clean up all my toys and I think maybe do the grocery shopping? Not sure about that last one but I figure now that I have a bike I will be able to help my mom out more. Speaking of helping out more, my dad taught me how to build shelves and install closet rods. We had to go to Home Depot for the supplies and I was in charge of making sure all the measurements were correct. Then we built shelves in the bathroom and my parents needed to fix their closet. I had a great time learning how to build things. It was not quite as simple as Legos but it was easy enough. All in all, this week has been wonderful. Well, I was in the middle of teaching my monkey all the colors. My favorite color is yellow but I like them all. I should get back to teaching. Can you believe he thinks green is red? HA! Until next week... -Maggie
This week: I played in my tunnels, got severely tickled by my parents, ate chocolate ice cream with my mom, went to home depot and played with my cousins.

WATER!

Good evening everyone! I know you may be concerned that I am up past my bedtime and it is a valid concern. It is very
late but I had the desire to blog. So I guess I should recap my week. Well, this past weekend my parents bought me a car! I know. I thought we were destined to walk everywhere for the rest of my life but those days are over. We still walk a lot but as it turns out, there is a big world out there that you can only access by car. Our first outing was to Welch Lake with the Gallaghers. An outing only made possible by our car. I had so much fun. We had a picnic and went swimming and played in the sand. Summer is fun. It really is. I love the water and it seems we get to play in it all the time. However, I must admit I am not a huge fan of the pool. My mom signed me up for swimming lessons and well, they are not fun. Imagine a large pool with rubber ducks floating around, kids laughing and your mom holding you back from all the fun. I do not understand why I cannot show her how great of a swimmer I am all by myself. She keeps telling me I will just sink to the bottom if she lets go of me but that is ridiculous. So unfortunately, against every fiber of being, my mom holds me for the entire 30 minute class. I may someday give in to her over protective ways but not today. I truly hope this summer continues to be as wonderful. I am having a blast. Before I close, I wanted to express my deepest condolences for those of you that live in Texas. I have heard the heat is disgusting. It was 81 degrees here today and that is hot enough. My thoughts are with you, Texans. Stay hydrated and stay inside. This too shall pass. Well, off to bed. Until next week... -Maggie
This week: I slept in the car, ate beans and rice, went to the lake and played in the water.

Independence = FUN!

Good evening everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic fourth of July. Mine was absolutely the greatest day. My Aunt Megan came to visit so that was gift enough but my dad also had a three day weekend so the fun was endless! We started Saturday morning at the park. A man gave me an American flag and everyone told me I was pretty and let's face it, what girl doesn't like to be told how gorgeous she is. There was a parade that went right by my home and I got to watch from my living room window. After the parade, we went to a place called Graydon Pool. It is like a beach but there are no waves. It is magical! I had so much fun. Then we ate dinner and I fell asleep. If I had one complaint it would be that my parents did not inform me there would be fireworks. I was not even given the opportunity to watch them. I suppose they did start 3 hours after my bedtime but I overheard people saying they were the best fireworks they had ever seen! Apparently, Megan and my parents watched from the roof and they even saw the fireworks over the Hudson River. I am sure they think they are pretty special but all I know is that I had the appropriate amount of sleep and that is worth something. Well, I must be going. Dinner is on the table, or at least it better be. I am starving and my mom is on the computer doing who knows what. Until next week... -Maggie
This week: I celebrated America's independence and played with my Aunt Megan. I also got a NEW cousin!!!! Happy birthday TORIN!!!! We love you!
